On 4th and 5th October 2016 the University of Cádiz (Spain) hosted the 2nd Transnational Meeting of the USR-NET: European Network of Socially Responsible Universities project framework. All the partners of the consortium were present and actively contributed to make the meeting useful and successful.
The meeting took place in the Economics and Management Faculty of the University of Cádiz and started with a revision of completed tasks. Then, through a work dynamic, partners worked in a participative way on the planning of upcoming activities: the partners worked in groups giving insights and suggestions about all forthcoming activities. This allowed every partner to familiarise with all activities and task leaders to gather suggestions and comments about activities they will lead.
The meeting ended with a brainstorming session about the future of the USR-NET; partners exchanged ideas about the sustainability, impact and the importance of networking regarding the project’s aims. These ideas will be introduced as concrete actions to strengthen and enlarge the latter.
Apart from working, partners had the chance to enjoy the beautiful weather of Cádiz, the city beach and, during the common dinner the first night, a spectacular view of the Cathedral while tasting delicious typical food from the region.
To sum up, this meeting it was a good opportunity for team-building, to increase the partners’ synergies, discuss and agree on strategies and concrete actions to increase the quality of the project. This meeting will reduce risks associated to project implementation, improve the quality of internal procedures and external outcomes.
